The forty-five–minute presentation was divided into seven acts, each highlighting a distinct era and style of costume design in film. The segments: Hollywood Glamour, The Renegades, Historical Heroines, Summer of Love, Avant-Garde, Afrofuturism, and New World Costume celebrated the artistry and storytelling power of fashion in cinema. The looks from each act were curated in collaboration with one of seven major fashion houses, who drew inspiration from the work of some of cinema’s most acclaimed costume designers. The creative legacies of Colleen Atwood, Milena Canonero, Ruth E. Carter, Catherine Martin, Arianne Phillips, Sandy Powell, and Jacqueline West served as guiding influences.
