Iowa Speedway will host this year’s Fierce Faith Music Festival on Saturday, June 20th. Kristi Cummins, the President and Co-Founder of the Fierce Faith Music Festival, says the event has outgrown its previous location at Community Heights Alliance Church.
“We are so excited to be out there. We are going to have plenty of room for parking and ample room to spread out. There will be no change. We will have three national artists and one local artist, food trucks, even bounce houses for the kids. We just want to make it a family-friendly event, and we are so thankful that everyone in Newton has been so supportive of this.”
This will be the fifth annual Fierce Faith Musical Festival, but the first one at the Iowa Speedway. Organizers anticipate an increase in ticket sales and a larger audience. The festival draws concertgoers from across central Iowa and beyond, with some attendees traveling from out of state. The Newton City Council awarded the festival organizers a $2,500 Hotel-Motel Tourism Grant to help cover this year’s expenses.
