Another weekend at the box office has come and gone, and December continues to prove much more successful than most of the year’s other months. As the Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande-led Wicked: For Good and Zootopia 2 continue to prove popular, with the latter now less than $100 million away from the billion-dollar mark, a new arrival in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 outperformed both to take the domestic box office weekend crown. However, with Christmas a time for both family and an overload on your itinerary, it’s difficult to find the time to get out to the theater. With that in mind and to help you stay entertained this week, here’s a list of three movies you should watch on Netflix.

‘Caught Stealing’ (2025)
Rotten Tomatoes: 84% | IMDb: 6.9/10
2025 has been stacked for movies, and many are likely to have passed you by. One that seemed to fly under most radars with an underwhelming box office run is Darren Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing, and, thankfully, you can catch up this week on Netflix. The film follows Austin Butler’s ex-baseball player Hank Thompson as he is inadvertently caught up in the dangerous criminal underbelly of ’90s New York City.
Boasting a powerhouse central performance from Butler alongside the likes of Regina King, Zoë Kravitz, Matt Smith, Liev Schreiber, and more, Caught Stealing might’ve failed to impress in theaters, but it was stiff competition and an overall downward trend in theatergoers that let it down, rather than a lack of quality. Unpredictable, violent, and packed with memorable action, Caught Stealing is a roller-coaster you’ll want to ride.

‘Jingle Bell Heist’ (2025)
Rotten Tomatoes: 74% | IMDb: 5.7/10
There’s a little over two weeks left until Christmas, and Netflix has packed so many festive options onto its platform that you’ll need to hurry if you want to watch them all. One of the streamer’s latest, Jingle Bell Heist, follows retail worker Sophia (Olivia Holt) and a down-on-his-luck repairman Nick (Connor Swindells), who become the unlikely duo behind the heist of one of London’s most famous department stores.
Although both Holt and Swindells are as watchable as ever, it is Lucy Punch‘s femme fatale and Peter Serafinowicz‘s exuberant villain that steal Jingle Bell Heist. A hilarious, heartwarming Christmas flick that is as easy to watch as it is entertaining, Jingle Bell Heist might not be the most impressive movie you see this month, but it is still well worth your precious yuletide time.

‘Babylon’ (2022)
Rotten Tomatoes: 57% | IMDb: 7.1/10
One of the most underrated movies of the decade is finally streaming on Netflix. As of this week, you can catch Damien Chazelle‘s Babylon on the streamer, a film that follows Margot Robbie‘s Nellie LaRoy, a young actress with a dream of becoming a Hollywood star. Alongside Jack Conrad (Brad Pitt) and Manny Torres (Diego Calva), the trio embarks on a wild journey through luxury and loss in a chaotic 1920s Los Angeles.
Called “exhausting” and “overwhelming” by critics upon release, Babylon stumbled into relative obscurity back in 2022 after once being touted for great things. Thankfully, in the three years since, the film has earned itself an impressive cult following, as this bold, adventurous Chazelle swing is seen for the golden gem it truly is. To see why the movie has such a cult following and to add exuberance to your December week, don’t miss out on Babylon.
