As the final week of February begins, Netflix carries a host of boredom-busting movies to help start the week off on the right foot. The premiere name in streaming since the concept originated, Netflix is a brand that needs little introduction. From a DVD by mail service to an industry-leading titan, it’s safe to say that Netflix owns streaming.
Netflix is so successful because of the size of their catalog. They host a plethora of classic content, and the streamer produces many of its own original movies and TV shows. This makes picking something to watch a chore, especially with the lineup changing every month. Thankfully, this trio of picks is guaranteed to please even the pickiest Netflix fan.

The Addams Family (2019)
Charles Addams’ kooky family has seen their fair share of adaptations over the decades, and 2019’s animated feature is the closest they’ve come to recreating the comic strips. The Addams’ mansion is in danger when a greedy developer tries to steal their land. The blockbuster comedy modeled its characters after the comics, and captured a bit of their wit too.
The Addams Family 2 is also streaming on Netflix.
The Addams Family is quintessential family-friendly fun, but with a slight hint of the macabre. The voice cast is packed with stars like Oscar Isaac, and several other notable names flesh out the ensemble. There’s a simple charm to the small-budget animated flick, which makes it a great mid-week Netflix pick for families with little kids.

Erin Brockovich (2000)
For a bit of early Aughts nostalgia, why not revisit a Julia Roberts classic? Erin Brockovich is the true story of a plucky legal assistant who discovers that a company is contaminating the water of a community, and she makes it her mission to fight for justice. Steven Soderbergh’s Oscar-winning dramedy still has power more than two decades later.
Julia Roberts scored a deserved Best Actress Oscar, and it’s arguably her best role to date. The true story elements make the movie even more compelling, but it still has the heart and whimsy usually found in Hollywood fiction. It’s the perfect movie to watch on Netflix because it’s a classic throwback that still holds up.

Skyfall (2012)
Daniel Craig’s third outing as 007 is generally considered one of the best films in the entire franchise. With undercover agents around the world compromised, Bond must look into M’s past to discover the man responsible. Eschewing the self-contained stories the franchise usually tells, Skyfall takes big risks with Bond and his future.
The critically-acclaimed smash not only delivers a ton of exciting action, but has a gripping plot that elevates it above the franchise’s most memorable installments. From the very first frame, Skyfall grabs the viewer and doesn’t let go. With the entire Bond franchise currently streaming on Netflix, there’s never been a better time to catch one of 007’s greatest adventures.
