2022’s Sisu was one of the most original revenge films in recent memory, and its 2025 sequel is just as good. Sisu: Road to Revenge catches up with Korpi as he is once again tormented by the Red Army officer that killed his family. It checks every box that a sequel should, pushing the envelope even further than its predecessor.

Sisu is currently streaming on Prime Video.

The Finnish epic never takes its foot off the gas, and delivers nonstop action that’s sure to please even the most discerning genre purist. Though it’s better if you’ve seen the first, it’s not required. Sisu: Road to Revenge embraces its over-the-top tone, and is never afraid to take things one step further than most action films dare.

Honey Don’t! (2025)

The second film in a planned trilogy from director Ethan Coen, Honey Don’t! is a humorous send-up to classic detective movies from the past. Private investigator Honey O’Donahue finds herself embroiled in a murder case involving a strange church. The film pairs Margaret Qualley and Aubrey Plaza, and the duo have excellent comedic chemistry.

Though it has generally received mixed reviews, Honey Don’t! is not a bad movie. It’s a tribute to the grindhouse drive-in cinema of the ’70s, but with an extra wink to the audience. It has bona fide starpower thanks to Qualley, Plaza, and Chris Evans, and is an enjoyable little romp for what it is.

The Creator (2023)

The Creator flopped, but it is finally being rediscovered thanks to streaming services like Netflix. In the midst of a futuristic war between humanity and AI, a special forces agent is tasked with hunting down the mysterious “Creator” who holds the key to ending the war. The Creator‘s unique visuals set it apart from the usual sci-fi fare.

Without a recognizable IP to bolster its credibility, The Creator was left to twist in the wind by an apathetic movie industry. It’s become something of a cult classic in the last few years, earning new acclaim. It’s the perfect movie to stream on Netflix because it offers a premium theatrical experience with the convenience of at-home viewing.
