Despite the big day having come and gone, the current Prime Video streaming charts in the U.S. are still stuffed with Christmas content. Eddie Murphy‘s fantasy comedy Candy Cane Lane joins the critically panned Red One on the list, with Michelle Pfeiffer and Chloë Grace Moretz’s new family holiday comedy, Oh. What. Fun., topping the charts. However, for those who might have overconsumed on Christmas content, as is customary this time of year, the streamer thankfully has plenty more to offer this week. To help you in deciding what to watch, here’s a look at the three Prime Video movies you need to catch this week.

‘Smile 2’ (2024)
Rotten Tomatoes: 86% | IMDb: 6.7/10
Director Parker Finn‘s sequel to his smash-hit horror flick Smile is the perfect way to burst out of the festive spirit and into the new year. Smile 2 centers on the same grinning curse of the original, this time haunting the life of Naomi Scott‘s Skye Riley, a global pop star recovering from a tragic incident. As the weight of fame and public scrutiny pulls her down, the demon inches closer.
A stellar and spine-chilling horror sequel that was one of several brilliant entries into the genre from 2024, Smile 2 will chill you to your core as well as make you think. From inventive scares to impressive visuals, the standout of this movie is Scott’s lead performance, with some even suggesting she was snubbed from a best actress nomination at the 2025 Academy Awards.
2
‘The Naked Gun’ (2025)
Rotten Tomatoes: 87% | IMDb: 6.4/10
Laugh yourself into 2026 with one of this year’s funniest movies. Following the 2010 passing of the legendary Leslie Nielsen, few thought this iconic franchise could ever return. In 2025, it finally did, with action hero Liam Neeson taking over the lead role. The Naked Gun follows Neeson’s Frank Drebin Jr., who, following in his father’s footsteps, solves a troubling case in a typically unorthodox fashion.
Also starring the likes of Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Danny Huston, and Kevin Durand, The Naked Gun is the perfect showcase of Neeson’s underrated comedic skills. A doting homage to the original that still manages to feel fresh in 2025, almost every gag lands in this hilarious spoof comedy, one that Collider’s own Aidan Kelley called “one of the funniest movies of the decade” in his review.

‘The LEGO Movie’ (2014)

Humor, heart, and impressive visuals are the building blocks of any great animated movie, and these building blocks have all three. The Lego Movie follows a seemingly ordinary LEGO man, Emmet Brickowski (Chris Pratt), as he is recruited to join a special mission after being prophesied as “special.” Can he and his team help save the day from the tyrant, Lord Business (Will Ferrell)?
A movie appropriately engaging for every generation, The LEGO Movie is the perfect watch for those still entertaining their family post-Christmas. Featuring a star-studded voice cast, headlined by Pratt and Ferrell and including Morgan Freeman, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Liam Neeson, Channing Tatum, and many more, there is no easier way to put a smile on your face and fend off the winter blues than with this genius animated adventure.
