‘Oh. What. Fun.’ (2025)
Rotten Tomatoes: 39% | IMDb: 5.3/10
With just 20 days left until December 25, the newest festive options on Prime Video should be topping your watchlist. The family holiday comedy, Oh. What. Fun., follows Michelle Pfeiffer‘s Claire, the unsung matriarchal hero of her family, who plans yet another special Christmas. However, she is forgotten by her family, leading to a discovery for all that will change their outlooks forever.
A tidy little holiday flick with plenty of festive cheer, Oh. What. Fun. is unlikely to blow you away, but its wholesome story and warm glow make for the perfect accompaniment to your Christmas countdown. Featuring a joyous starring turn from Pfeiffer, the film also includes Denis Leary, Chloë Grace Moretz, Danielle Brooks, Devery Jacobs, Havana Rose Liu, Maude Apatow, Jason Schwartzman, Eva Longoria, and Joan Chen.

‘Bullet Train’ (2022)
Rotten Tomatoes: 52% | IMDb: 7.3/10
With F1 making a pulse-racing splash at the summer box office, it’s time to check out one of Brad Pitt‘s best action flicks, and one of the most underrated of its kind in recent memory. The star-studded action comedy Bullet Train, from director David Leitch, follows Pitt’s assassin Ladybug, who, dreaming of retirement, finds himself trapped on the world’s fastest train among similarly dangerous adversaries.
Based on the 2010 novel by Kōtarō Isaka, Bullet Train is an adventurous thrill ride that, like its central mode of transport, whisks its audience through a whirlwind tale at lightning speed. Featuring an eye-catching cast that includes the likes of Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Shannon, and Sandra Bullock, as well as a pair of perfectly placed cameos, Bullet Train is a movie you won’t want to miss.

‘The Phoenician Scheme’ (2025)
Rotten Tomatoes: 77% | IMDb: 6.7/10
Benicio del Toro‘s 2025 will likely be remembered for his potentially Oscar-nominated supporting performance in Paul Thomas Anderson‘s One Battle After Another. However, you won’t want to let the year pass by without catching his other best turn of 2025 in Wes Anderson‘s The Phoenician Scheme. The movie follows Del Toro’s Zsa-zsa Korda, a man on the run from all manner of dangerous forces, who, amid the chaos, appoints his estranged daughter, nun Sister Liesl (Mia Threapleton), as the heir of his estate.
Also starring the likes of Michael Cera, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Riz Ahmed, and many more, The Phoenician Scheme might not be one of Anderson’s best, but it still features much of his signature style and emotional substance. A clever dark comedy that even earned Anderson a Palme d’Or nomination at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, don’t miss out on The Phoenician Scheme this weekend.
