3 Best Movies To Watch On Prime Video This Weekend (Feb 21-22)

Prime Video offers quite a few exciting movies to watch this weekend from very different genres, some new to the streamer, others on it for a little longer, and they promise to make subscribers happy. On last weekend’s Prime Video movie recommendations, I talked about two Adam Sandler films, Click and 50 First Dates, as well as Puppy Love.

Now that Valentine’s Day is behind us, it is time to move on from rom-coms for this weekend’s selection. Instead, I will explore how a spy thriller, an iconic action-comedy franchise, and, okay, a romantic movie, to not fully move away from last weekend’s offerings, are the best options for what to watch on Prime Video.

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2023)

Prime Video’s most-watched movie in the United States is currently Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, so anyone who has yet to check it out is missing out on a spy thriller with quite a few major names. The film’s cast includes Jason Statham, Aubrey Plaza, Josh Hartnett, Hugh Grant, Cary Elwes, and more.

The story follows an elite team of spies who have to play nice with one another as they recruit a major Hollywood star to help them with a dangerous mission. Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is directed by Guy Ritchie, bringing all his signature flair, action, and humor to the table. This is a wildly fun ride for the weekend.

Charlie’s Angels (2000)

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new Charlie’s Angels movie is being written by Pete Chiarelli (The Proposal) for Sony. With the major news breaking last week, now is the perfect time to watch the first movie in the franchise starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu.

After Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, this action comedy will keep Prime Video subscribers engaged this weekend, with exciting action scenes, heartwarming character dynamics, and a lot of laughs. In the movie, the trio has to find a kidnapped tech genius and keep his masterful invention from falling into the wrong hands.

Love Me Love Me (2026)

Finally, to keep some connection to last weekend’s list, Prime Video subscribers who want to get another dose of rom-coms after Valentine’s Day can turn to the new arrival Love Me Love Me for that. The romantic movie makes for an easy, breezy watch for those who have grown used to shows like The Summer I Turned Pretty.

At times, it even feels like a speed run of a show like that, requiring way less time to be invested in it by the audience. Love Me Love Me takes place in Italy, where Mia Jenkins’ June moves to get away from her old life after her brother’s death.

She soon finds herself torn between Will, the typical good guy, and James, the bad boy. These three movies on Prime Video speak to different audiences, being worth a weekend watch.
