Spring is finally here, but instead of going outside, why don’t you stay in and watch some good movies?
Prime Video has a slew of them, and Watch With Us has picked only the top new films available in March.
If you’re craving an action flick that will make you laugh, watch The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent and see how well Nicolas Cage makes fun of his macho guy image.
Sci-fi fans will have their minds blown with Twelve Monkeys, a trippy time-travel film starring Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt.
Last but not least, watch Steve Martin and Michael Caine try to outsmart each other in the con-artist comedy, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ (2022)
It’s hard being Nicolas Cage — just ask Nicolas Cage. After a series of flops stalls his once-flourishing career, he ponders retiring before accepting an unlikely offer from billionaire super fan Javi (Pedro Pascal): he’ll pay Cage $1 million to hang out with him in his Mallorca mansion. The two men hit it off, but when two CIA agents inform him that Javi is really a ruthless arms dealer, Cage has no choice but to spy on his new friend. He’s used to playing action heroes, but can Cage succeed when real stakes — and lives — are on the line?
5 Best New Movies to Stream This Weekend (March 20-22): ‘Wicked: For Good’ and More
A meta comedy with some healthy doses of action, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is best enjoyed by Cage fans who have seen some of his classics, like Face/Off, Con Air and National Treasure. Since that’s a healthy portion of the moviegoing audience, this 2022 film should appeal to a wide swath of people. It’s not an insult to say that Cage has never been better when he’s playing himself, and he isn’t shy about mocking his own career choices and over-the-top acting style.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is streaming on Prime Video.
‘Twelve Monkeys’ (1995)
In the near future, the global population has been decimated by a mysterious plague that was unleashed in 1996. Desperate for a cure, scientists send convicted criminal James Cole (Bruce Willis) back in time to find out how the virus was created. Everyone thinks he’s crazy, especially his psychiatrist, Dr. Kathryn Railly (Madeleine Stowe), but when he proves to her without a doubt that his story is true, she helps him in his quest to find the Army of the Twelve Monkeys, who are somehow connected to the catastrophe that changed James’ world forever.
Directed by Terry Gilliam, Twelve Monkeys is one of the most visionary science fiction films ever made. Time travel is a notoriously tricky concept to make sense of, but the movie makes it easy to understand. It also tells a surprisingly moving love story, with Willis’ weary futuristic visitor bonding with Stowe’s empathetic shrink. Brad Pitt earned his first Oscar nomination as a mental patient who might have the answers Willis is looking for.
Twelve Monkeys is streaming on Prime Video.
‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’ (1988)
Lawrence (Michael Caine) is a suave British con artist who only swindles from high-class women. In contrast, Freddy (Steve Martin) is a gauche American hustler who targets any woman who is dumb enough to fall for his tricks. Eager to improve and ascend the social ladder, Freddy blackmails Lawrence into teaching him what he knows. They both try to swindle gullible American heiress Janet Colgate (Glenne Headly), but with a lot of money on the line, can the two men trust each other long enough to succeed? Or will their mutual distrust cause Janet to see them for who they really are?
New on Prime Video in March 2026 — The Complete List of Movies and TV Shows
Later remade as The Hustle with Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is nastier and better. Caine and Martin are perfect as two lowlifes who have more in common than they’d like to admit, while Headly nearly steals the show as a seemingly dim rich woman who isn’t as dumb as the two men would like her to be.
