Every week, I find myself searching Netflix for new thriller movies to stream. I’m a huge fan of the genre, and clearly I’m not alone on this one. The big red streaming service is always adding thriller movies, both new originals and old favorites, to satisfy its subscribers’ intense hunger for movies full of explosive action, excitement, shocking twists and gripping narratives.
The next few days are no different; Netflix’s March 2026 slate confirms that several thriller movies have just been added to the platform’s library, and there’s more to come very soon as well. To save you from having to do the busywork of finding them for yourself, I’ve combed through the latest Netflix additions this week and picked out the three thrillers you need to watch.

‘Nobody 2’ (2025)
“Nobody 2” categorically proved me wrong. Ahead of its release last year, I was convinced it was a wholly unnecessary sequel to the original 2021 action-thriller. After watching the finished movie for myself, I was way off base here. This follow-up is a hoot, and then some. Perhaps its smartest decision is running a trim 90 minutes long; it offers a slice of pulpy escapism and doesn’t stick around long enough for its charm to wear out its welcome.

In “Nobody 2,” family man and lethal assassin Hutch Mansell (Odenkirk) attempts to get away from his violent profession by taking his family on a much-needed vacation to the rundown tourist town of Plummerville. He promises his wife (Connie Nielsen) he’ll put down his firearms and relax with their two kids, but when he finds himself at odds with the town’s corrupt sheriff (Colin Hanks) and a ruthless crime boss (Sharon Stone), his holiday takes an explosive turn. Watch out for a fun supporting role from Hollywood icon Christopher Lloyd.

‘Jigsaw’ (2017)
I’m definitely stretching the definition of a “thriller” movie with this pick. “Jigsaw” is part of the “Saw” franchise and has its roots in horror, but I will argue that over time, the series became less concerned with spooking viewers and more consumed with twisting narratives and extreme gore. It’s a recipe that won’t appeal to the squeamish, but if you have a strong stomach and enjoy the hair-rising thrills, “Jigsaw” has lots of sadistic pleasures.
Set after the so-called conclusion of the original Saw franchise (2010’s “Saw: The Final Chapter” turned out to be very much not the final chapter), a new killer is on the loose, and his spree has all the hallmarks of John “Jigsaw” Kramer. Detectives are at a loss, seemingly chasing the ghost of a man who’s been dead for a decade. At the same time, a group of five strangers awake chained up in a barn, and are forced to play a new set of deadly games.

‘Anatomy of a Fall’ (2023)
“Anatomy of a Fall” isn’t just one of my favorite legal dramas of the decade; it’s one of my favorite movies released in recent years, period. It plays out like an extremely bingeable crime drama TV show condensed into a single two-and-a-half-hour film, and it’s every bit as engaging as that sounds. It also packs one of the great performances of the 2020s from actress Sandra Hüller, who completely brings the house down in a masterful third-act scene.
“Anatomy of a Fall” explores a rocky marriage and a young child caught in the middle of a tragic accident. Or was it an accident? See, that’s the crux of this French movie from director Justine Triet: Did Samuel (Samuel Theis) fall to his death, or was he pushed by his wife, Sandra (Hüller)? As the investigation into the “accident” continues, the couple’s young son, Daniel (Milo Machado-Graner), is dragged into proceedings. As the court date looms, the pair’s unhappy marriage is scrutinized, and Daniel must decide which version of events is true.
