It’s been a strong week for menswear on the red carpet from awards-season tailoring to premieres and fashion-led dinners.

Giant London Premiere
Pierce Brosnan arrived in Armani wearing a black turtleneck with tailored separates — a styling choice that immediately reads as spy-coded. The look was sleek, minimal menswear rather than formal red carpet dressing we associate with him. There was also a definite Milk Tray Man charm at play: smooth, sauve and self-assured, without needing anything extra to sell it.

Amir El-Masry, the lead actor in the film, wore Fendi, and the polka-dot shirt was the detail that changed the tone of the look. It broke up the formality and gave the outfit more character than a plain shirt would.

32nd Annual Actor Awards Nominations
Connor Storrie’s Dolce & Gabbana suit leaned retro thanks to the brown and beige colourway, giving the look a slightly throwback feel rather than something trend-led. What really stood out, though, was the pocket square. It’s a detail men rarely reach for on the red carpet these days. That small styling choice elevated what was already a good look. The Hublot Classic Fusion King Gold 38mm watch finished things off neatly.

Dead Man’s Wire LA Screening
Colman Domingo opted for a relaxed Zegna look, anchored by a deep V-neck shirt that set a laid-back tone. The Boucheron arrow brooch cut through the softness with a precise detail, adding a graphic note, while his rings and an OMEGA timepiece rounded out the styling.

The Night Manager Season 2 New York Premiere
Tom Hiddleston and Diego Calva’s looks could not have been more different, yet each was a clear reflection of their designer.
Tom wore a brown-and-white Ralph Lauren Prince of Wales suit, complete with a pocket square, coordinating tie, and brown monk-strap shoes, presenting his usual English gent style filtered through New York tailoring.
Diego, dressed in Thom Browne, also delivered a classic uniformed look from the label, which included a kilt.

Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wore Sergio Hudson shearling coat making the statement here, immediately shifting the look away from standard event dressing and giving it real impact. It’s the kind of outerwear choice that changes the entire read of an outfit, and Shai continues to show that his fashion presence extends well beyond the basketball court.

Chanel COCO CRUSH Dinner
Conan Gray joined a host of ladies, but he wasn’t there to make up the numbers. The singer stood out thanks to the crisp blue blazer, which brought freshness to this event dominated by darker hues. We are used to more theatrics from Conan, but here the mood was calm, with just a brooch as a decorative detail.

2026 New York Film Critics Circle Awards
Wagner Moura is slowly becoming one of my faves this awards season. An ivory suit is always a bit of a hard sell, especially with black shoes, but I’m charmed by him nonetheless.
