Morgan Rogers has signed a new contract with Aston Villa that will keep him at the club until 2031.

The England international arrived at Villa Park from Championship side Middlesbrough last year and has gone on to produce 18 goals and 20 assists in 86 appearances for the club.

The 23-year-old has also started to make an impact on the international stage, having won 10 caps since his England debut in November 2024.

The versatile star will now be hoping to cement his place as a member of Thomas Tuchel’s FIFA World Cup squad.

Rogers said that Villa Park is his “home” after putting pen to paper on a new deal.

“It’s home,” he said. “Being from the area makes it that bit sweeter, but the manager, the players, the staff, everyone here is so warm and welcoming every day.

“I’m excited to come in and train, work hard and give my all every day. I really enjoy it.

“The most important thing for me is enjoying my football and being able to express myself. There’s no reason why I wouldn’t want to stay here.”

Villa had a difficult start to their 2025/26 Premier League campaign, but they have turned things around in recent weeks and are currently sixth in the table.

They capped their impressive turnaround with an emphatic 4-0 win over high-flying Bournemouth on Sunday.

Following the international break, they will go head-to-head with Leeds United at Elland Road.

Rogers came through the ranks at West Bromwich Albion before joining Manchester City.

He was sent out on loan to Lincoln City, Bournemouth and Blackpool before the Premier League giants decided to sell him to Middlesbrough.

The Aston Villa favourite has also represented England at every age-grade level since making his debut for the Under-15s.

Rogers had been linked with a move to several Premier League sides prior to signing his contract extension with Villa.

The West Midlands club are also competing in the UEFA Europa League this term, where they are currently sixth in the league phase table.

Rogers was rewarded for a stunning 2024/25 campaign by being named PFA Young Player of the Season.
