Memorial Health Foundation announces 21st annual fashion show

MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) – The Memorial Health Foundation will host its 21st Annual Fashion Show on Friday, April 10, at the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center at Marietta College.

The event, presented by Aramet, will open doors at 5:30 p.m. for cocktails and conversation, followed by a buffet at 6:30 p.m. featuring heavy hors d’oeuvres catered by Parkhurst Dining.

The fashion show begins at 7 p.m.

This year’s theme is masquerade ball. All models in the show are current cancer center patients or survivors, according to Erica Starr Delaney with Memorial Health Foundation.

Jim Atkins, a cancer patient who will model in the show, said he was encouraged to participate by nursing staff.

Atkins underwent surgery for facial cancer in April 2024, followed by radiation treatment.

He is currently receiving immunotherapy treatment that will continue for two years.

“The nurses, the staff, everyone has been so helpful with me,” Atkins said. “They’ve been so kind. It’s overwhelming how good they have been with me.”

Tickets and sponsorships

Tickets cost $65 for individuals or $520 for a table of eight. The event has sold out in recent years, and advance registration is required.

Tickets can be purchased at mhsystem.org/fashionshow or by contacting the foundation. Sponsorships remain available.

Supporting local businesses and patients

The fashion show features clothing from local merchants. All proceeds support the Cancer Patient Emergency Initiative and Breast Health Initiative.

The Cancer Patient Emergency Initiative provides gas cards, transportation assistance, rides to treatments wigs for patients, and more.
