Attendees at Copenhagen Fashion Week meant business, swapping the city’s usual whimsical aesthetic for practical outerwear and weighty denim built to brave the snow-covered streets.
Wide-leg jeans in inky washes or other earthy neutrals were the foundation to many looks. Paint splatter and cuffed hems kept the vibe utilitarian while others punctuated their jeans with western belt buckles and belt bags.
Abstract prints, laser etching, patchwork, whipstitching and overdyes decorated other jeans. Moto-inspired stitching layered with bleach effects and tints kept some jeans looking apocalyptic.
Unconventional styling added interest to street style looks. Some scrunched their jeans into tall boots. Others layered jeans under skirts.
For many, their personal style shone through their outerwear choices. Wool plaid coats, cropped fur jackets, fringe-trimmed blanket coats and leather puffers with oversized fur collars were some of the standouts.
