Sony State of Play February 2026: Everything announced


The February 2026 State of Play has just concluded, and it was packed full of surprise reveals, grand-returns of legacy series, and some truly oddball shock announcements. In it, we saw not only upcoming titles like Marathon, Pragmata, and Resident Evil Requiem, but also a nice gaggle of remakes too. These include the Metal Gear Solid Collection Vol. 2, and the God of War Trilogy Remake.

This article will feature all the reveals from tonight’s State of Play, including a descriptor of what they are and a trailer for your viewing pleasure. Kena: Scars of Kosmora

A sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits is here. Kena: Scars of Kosmora is a third-person action game that kicked off the State of Play tonight. The scope is bigger, it’s set in a new location, and has an overhauled combat system. It’s coming out in 2026 on PS5 and PC.

Ghost of Yotei: Legends

Sucker Punch took the stage next, showing off Ghost of Yotei: Legends. A third-person action game with up to four-player online co-op, players can choose between four classes to take on mythical foes. The game releases on the 10th march as free DLC for Ghost of Yotei owners.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach PC port and update

Death Stranding is here! This time with a big update. It’s bringing unlocked framerates, ultra-wide support, dualsense controller support, and upscaling and frame generation. It’s available on 19th March on PC.

4 loop gameplay trailer

A new gameplay trailer for 4 Loop comes next, showing off the gameplay loop as well as various quirks available to the players when running into high-intensity Rogue-like style action. It’ll also have playtests in the future, though no date has been given yet.

Pragmata trailer and shadow-dropped demo

Pragmata got a new trailer, showing off more peeks at what Capcom’s upcoming Sci-Fi puzzle shooter has in store. Perhaps more importantly, a free demo was dropped just now!

Resident Evil Requiem gameplay trailer

It’s another Resident Evil Requiem gameplay trailer! We see more of Leon and Grace taking on zombies and digging up old Umbrella dirt. We even see Leon wander into what looks like the Racoon City Police Department

Legacy of Kain Defiance Remaster

Legacy of Kain is back! During the State of Play a remake of Legacy of Kain Defiance was revealed, and is up for pre-order now. It launches next month. It comes with a bunch of bonus content, and even some unseen footage of an unreleased sequel.

Brigand Abyss

A remake for Brigand Abyss has been announced for the PS5! It’s coming later this year.

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round, plus new Dead or Alive in development

Dead or Alive 6 is getting an update for the PS5, bringing new costumes and future update plans. It’ll even have a free version you can try out. On top of all this, a new Dead or Alive is also in development! No more news on this, but something exciting for the 30th anniversary.

Control Resonant gameplay trailer

A Control Resonant gameplay trailer made an appearance! We see Dylan cycle through a variety of weapons in aggressive combat. We even see a boss battle of sorts take place in a wide open city map, some mind-bending environments, and a peak at Resonants. The game is coming in 2026.

Crimson Moon reveal trailer

A fresh gameplay trailer for Crimson Moon, a brutal melee action game in which you and fellow players can rip apart all manner of demons was revealed! It’s coming in 2026.

Beast of Reincarnation gameplay trailer

A new trailer for Beasts of Reincarnation made an appearance, in which we see plenty of action and some story teases to keep fans eager for the game’s release on the 4th August.

Rayman 30th Anniversary edition

Rayman is back, sort of. Five playable versions of the original game are coming in a single package, including a lost playable prototype and a documentary from the original creators. It’s coming digitally tomorrow on the 13th February, with a physical edition coming later.

Mina the Hollower

From the creator of Shovel Knight comes Mina the Hollower. The PS5 is getting an exclusive demo tomorrow, so check it out!

Neva: Prologue

A reveal for a charming new indie title – Neva: Prologue – was revealed! It’s coming on the 19th February.

Yakoh Shinobi Ops

Here’s a trailer for a sick looking stealth action game. From top-down perspective, sneak into heavily guarded castles, steal valuables with allies, and avoid daunting monstrous foes. It’s coming in 2027 to the PS5.

Project Windless

Krafton’s mysterious AAA project finally shows its face! Play as perhaps the henchest rooster of all time, as you slice through waves of enemies and take down gigantic monsters with two sharp swords and a red comb. No release date, as of yet.

Galactic Racer story trailer

Galactic Racer has a gameplay / story trailer, showing big crashes, exotic planets, and a few returning characters you may have spotted. It’s coming out in 2026.

007 First Light gets yet another trailer

It’s another James Bond trailer! More action, more wit, that classic guitar riff. A combination of gun play and hand-to-hand fighting gets a highlight too! It’s out on the 27th May.

Metal Gear Solid collection Volume 2

Finally! Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming to modern platforms. Not just that, but Peace Walker (banger) is also included! It’s out on the 27th August. The original MGS collection is also getting resolution upgrades, which you can toggle on at your pleasure.

Darwin’s Paradox

Tactical Octopus Action. Tactical Octopus Action! Darwin’s Paradox got a reveal trailer, but you can download a demo that includes an ode to Metal Gear Solid tomorrow

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

It’s a new 2D Castlevania! Set in France, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is coming out in 2026. After a period of porting classic Castlevania games to modern platforms, it’s the first new 2D Castlevania in some time. That’s pretty darn cool if I say so myself!

Silent Hill Townfall

A reveal trailer for a brand-new Silent Hill is here! Silent Hill Townfall is a first person horror game, with some lovely horrific hospital equipment ickiness. It’s out in 2026!

Rev. Noir

Another new game from Konmai, which is on something of a hot-streak this State of Play. Rev. Noir has no release date, but you can wishlist it now!

John Wick reveal trailer

A new John Wick game has been revealed! made by Sabre Interactive, you can wishlist it now. Now that’s an exciting new reveal! Sadly, not much additional info, save for a few gameplay snippets.

Marathon story / beta trailer

Marathon got a new story / beta trailer. Not only did we get more gameplay footage and some tonal horror, but there’s a Server Slam test happening between the 26th February to the 2nd March. It’ll be available on PS5 and other platforms, so check it out! You can even unlock rewards for the full release. PlayStation Plus players can get unique charms that pay homage to other Sony big hitters.

Legacy of Kain: Ascendance reveal

A whole new Legacy of Kain game is here too! Legacy of Kain: Ascendance will be available on the 31st of March on the PS5. Check it out for retro-style side-scrolling action.

Saros gameplay overview trailer

Saros got another gameplay trailer, showing off the “Come Back Stronger” feature. This ties to the Rogue-like elements of the game, in which you can permanently upgrade your armour and unlock perks. You can even implement difficulty modifiers. The game is out on the 30th April, 2026.

Marvel Tokon character reveal trailer

Storm, Magik, Wolverine, and Danger have been revealed for Marvel Tokon in a new gameplay trailer (though we knew about Storm for a while). These four form the Xmen team, bringing the roster to 11 reveals as of writing. However, there will be 20 characters in total.

God of War Trilogy Remake

The original God of War trilogy is getting a full-on remake. Now in-development, it’s in the early stages. But, the original voice actor for Kratos is back (and hella charming).

Here’s a fun one to end the show. God of War is getting a side-scroller prequel focused on childhood Kratos, before he got all godlike and revenge-y. It’s out right now on the PS5!
