Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the fell 2.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the were Ekter (AT:), which rose 2.36% or 0.10 points to trade at 4.34 at the close. Unibios Holdings SA (AT:) added 1.92% or 0.05 points to end at 2.66 and Fais Symmetochon AE (AT:) was up 0.92% or 0.04 points to 3.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Titan Cement International SA (AT:), which lost 9.19% or 5.30 points to trade at 52.40 in late trade. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:) declined 5.51% or 0.23 points to end at 3.96 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:) shed 5.26% or 0.26 points to 4.68.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 96 to 20 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.40% or 69.41 to $5,017.81 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $62.81 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.11 to trade at $67.63 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.19, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 96.92.
