TILLAMOOK COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) – Basketball games at Nestucca High School were canceled on Friday after a car hit a bus carrying the Vernonia High School teams.
According to a post on social media by the Nestucca School District, the Vernonia HS team was involved in a crash along U.S. 101 while traveling to Nestucca.

Veronia School District Superintendent Jim Helmen sent out a letter to families following the incident, saying that a car crossed the center line and hit the bus carrying the girls and boys basketball teams about five miles outside of Nestucca.
One student sustained a minor injury in the crash, and another student was taken to the hospital after having a seizure, according to Helmen.
