Layers of Fear 3 Announced by Bloober Team

Bloober Team officially reveals Layers of Fear 3, the next chapter in its psychological horror series.

Bloober Team previously teased a countdown clock that would expire on Valentine’s Day, featuring audio featuring a quote from The Sick Rose and a poem by William Blake.

The countdown clock was tied to the franchise’s 10th anniversary. It led to the reveal of Layers of Fear 3. The game’s tagline uses the same line from that poem heard in the audio, “Some things never leave the walls. They only learn to wait.”

History of the Layers of Fear Franchise

Layers of Fear is a psychological horror series centered around first-person exploration and puzzle-solving. Decision-making and branching narratives examine how the environment affects the main character.

The first game was originally released in 2016. The sequel was released in 2019. In 2023, an anthology remade both games. Now, it’s time for the next evolution of the franchise.

History of Bloober Team

Since 2010, Bloober has worked on over a dozen games. They also worked on the critically acclaimed 2024 remake of Silent Hill 2. They’re also remaking the original Silent Hill.
