LeBron reflects on ‘journey’ with Steph Curry, Kevin Durant – NBC Sports Bay Area & California

LeBron James is feeling sentimental about his NBA journey alongside fellow aging legends Steph Curry and Kevin Durant.

The Los Angeles Lakers forward detailed what it means — and has meant — to enjoy moments and make memories over the years with the Golden State Warriors guard and Houston Rockets forward in speaking to reporters before the 75th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

“It’s always a pleasure and an honor to see those guys,” James said of Curry and Durant on Sunday. “We’ve had so much of an unbelievable journey throughout our individual careers. And then, you know, intersecting at certain points of our careers — either matchups in the regular season … finals appearances, postseason appearances, then the Olympics two summers ago.

“When it comes to me, Steph and KD, we’ll be interlocked for the rest of our careers, for sure. And it’s been great to be able to have some moments with those guys, versus those guys, teaming up with those guys.”

James, Curry and Durant are three of the NBA’s greatest players of all time.

They share several of the sport’s greatest feats and records and have participated in too many iconic games and series — as rivals and teammates — to count.

But the clock is ticking on all of their illustrious careers.

James is 41. Curry is 37. Durant is 37.

James speaks for all members of the NBA world who are sad to see the trio get older. However, he is wise to soak in the shared moments, such as All-Star weekend, that much more.

Who knows what legendary feats the three icons still have in store?
