Greece has selected its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, with Akylas winning the revamped national final Sing For Greece with his song Ferto.
The grand final featured 14 songs, with Akylas emerging victorious and securing the ticket to represent Greece at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna this May.
This year marked a significant rebrand of Greece’s national selection process. Following the return of Ethnikos Telikos in 2025, the show was relaunched under the new title Sing For Greece, featuring updated staging, international voting access and a refreshed format.
A total of 28 songs competed across two semi-finals, where results were decided entirely by public televoting. For the first time, international viewers were able to cast their votes online via the official voting platform.
Seven acts from each semi-final advanced to the final, where the winner was determined by a combined voting system:
- 50 per cent public televote
- 25 per cent Greek jury
- 25 per cent international jury
The show was hosted by Giorgos Kapoutzidis, Betty Maggira and Katerina Vrana, whose humour added energy and balance to the competition.
Akylas dominated across all voting segments.
- International Jury – 12 points: Akylas (Ferto)
- Greek Jury – 12 points: Akylas (Ferto)
- Televote – 24 points: Akylas (Ferto)
Other strong contenders included Good Job Nicky (Dark Side Of The Moon), Marseaux (Xanomai), D3lta (Mad About It) and Evangelia (Parea).
When the final televote results were announced, Akylas became visibly emotional, thanking the audience and noting that his mother was present in the crowd.
