“Ferto” (Bring it) by Akylas (born Akylas Mytilinaios) will represent Greece at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna after winning the country’s national selection, Sing For Greece.
The competition began with 28 songs and, following two semi-finals earlier in the week, concluded Sunday with 14 entries vying for the chance to represent Greece.
Points were awarded on the night via three sources: a jury vote (25%), an international jury vote (25%) and a public vote (50%). “Ferto” received the top points from all three.
The song has been described as a biting commentary on the greed and overconsumption of modern society.
Eurovision 2026 is scheduled to take place in Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle, with two semi-finals on May 12 and 14 and a final on May 16.
Akylas, now 27, first rose to prominence in 2024 with the hit single “Atelié.” A self-taught musician from Serres, he studied at the Serres Music School and further developed his performance skills through theatrical workshops. After moving to Athens, he gained attention online for his viral covers on TikTok.
Since then, Akylas has built a reputation as a dynamic performer, blending a multicultural, contemporary sound with a distinctly Greek identity.
