Parx Casino officials said it has received approval for traditional table games at its facility in Cumberland County.
Parx Casino Shippensburg was previously the only casino in Pennsylvania not to have traditional table games. But the casino said earlier this month it received approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. The property hosted a grand opening celebration for the traditional table games on Feb. 6 and Feb. 7.
The new casino floor layout includes 12 live table games with 72 total seats. Games include blackjack, roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and three-card poker.
Since the casino opened in 2023, it only had a hybrid gaming table setup in the middle of the facility that included 48 electronic table game terminals with blackjack, roulette, and three-card poker, with live dealers dealing real cards and spinning a real roulette wheel.
There are 17 casinos in Pennsylvania. A new casino is expected to open near Penn State University in April. Happy Valley Casino will be located at the Nittany Valley Mall in College Township, Centre County.
