Konami delists Xbox 360 Metal Gear Solid title from Microsoft Store

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD has been delisted from the Microsoft Store, which means if you didn’t purchase the stealth game before it was yanked from sale and want the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD achievements, you’ll need to hunt down a physical copy of an old compliation.

Sadly, Konami didn’t announce it was removing the backwards compatible Xbox 360 game and just unceremoniously pulled it without explanation. That said, with the recent announcement of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, it’s obvious why the publisher has delisted this version.

Still, it’s a bit disappointing that fans who maybe would have purchased a digital copy of this classic Metal Gear game for its achievements no longer have the chance. Thankfully, if you do still want to play through this version, you can do so by picking up a physical copy of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, so all is not lost.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 launches for Xbox Series X|S and includes updated versions of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and a bunch of bonus content, including Metal Gear: Ghost Babel. The most exciting part of this collection is MGS4, which has been locked away on Sony’s PlayStation 3 since launch. Finally, after 18 years, the most indulgent Metal Gear Solid game is making its way over to Xbox. If you are planning on playing this one, I sincerely hope you like cutscenes.

Will you be grabbing a physical copy of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD? Let us know down in the comments. If you missed it, the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection will soon be delisted from the Xbox store.
