Tried By Fire, Inc. is pleased to host the First New Bern Fashion Week & Fashion Show on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Carolina Colours Pavilion, 3300 Waterscape Way.
The evening includes hors d’oeuvres catered by the venue’s executive culinary staff, with a cash bar, silent auction, and other special surprises for this fundraising event to benefit My Sister’s House, a supportive transitional home for justice-involved women who do not have safe alternatives for housing when released from incarceration.
The Fashion show will be hosted by model, actor, and talent scout, Robert Brock, along with Parson School of Design Instructor, Joni Duncan. WCTI NewsChannel 12 news anchor, Valentina Wilson, will be one of the featured local models. Lydia Daniels, a veteran model from Hickory, NC, will also be on hand, along with professional Directions USA model Jonny Norris from Charlotte, NC, to add special flair and excitement to the evening’s program.
Current 2026 Spring & Summer fashion trends will be highlighted during the Fashion Show with carefully selected clothing and accessory items from New Bern’s local stores and boutiques. “In addition to introducing the latest looks for the season, this special event is designed to bring an awareness of fashion etiquette, build relationships, and support our local retailers,” said Robert Brock, one of Fashion Week’s organizers. “I recently became aware of several small and exceptional boutiques in New Bern and thought this would be a great way to promote them to our larger community,” said Brock.
Parson’s School of Design instructor, Joni Duncan, has been in the fashion industry in New York City for over 30 years and currently teaches Fashion Entrepreneurship. After working with major clothing industries and stores across the world of fashion, she brings a distinctive style and expertise to the evening’s program. “I am delighted to be involved with New Bern Fashion Week and have this opportunity to support the work of Tried By Fire, Inc. for justice-involved women and My Sister’s House,” explained Duncan.
Seating is limited. Tickets are $35 and are available at www.triedbyfireinc.org, until March 14, 2026, or while still available.
