Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the fell 1.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the were Athens Water (AT:), which rose 4.47% or 0.34 points to trade at 7.94 at the close. Alumil (AT:) added 3.38% or 0.22 points to end at 6.72 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT:) was up 3.10% or 0.70 points to 23.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:), which lost 6.46% or 0.31 points to trade at 4.41 in late trade. Lavipharm SA (AT:) declined 5.52% or 0.08 points to end at 1.33 and Avax SA (AT:) shed 3.67% or 0.13 points to 3.29.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 84 to 34 and 17 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 3.24% or 163.64 to $4,882.66 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.47% or 0.92 to hit $61.83 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 2.56% or 1.76 to trade at $66.89 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.18, while EUR/GBP rose 0.59% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.65% at 97.45.
