Francesca’s, a popular women’s fashion retailer that announced in January it would close all stores and liquidate its remaining inventory, has abruptly stopped all online ordering.
According to the store’s official website, as of Feb. 12 the company stopped accepting orders on francescas.com, effectively shutting down its e-commerce checkout. This change comes after the brand filed for bankruptcy earlier this month.
The Houston, Texas-based boutique chain, which once operated a store in the Staten Island Mall in New Springville, had been in business for more than 25 years, and currently has more than 400 locations in operation. The brand confirmed the closures to Women’s Wear Daily in January, and the fashion news outlet reported that the abrupt liquidation was due to unpaid vendors.
Francesca’s did not return a request for comment.
