Everything that you need to know about Poppy Playtime Chapter 5

Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 is coming soon, and the ARG has just concluded. So I figured that now would be a perfect time to fill you all in on everything.

Poppy Playtime – Chapter 5 is set to release on Feb 18, 2026. It will not be coming to consoles right away, but it will be released on Steam.

Now, there were a few amazing parts to the ARG. I dissected the first part on my personal blog, and Sheep Rampage did a fantastic breakdown of the full ARG, which I have linked below. Warning: the whole game has gotten so much darker.

The ARG kicked off with a Discord user called SeeingReason. I want to share some of the interesting things that came from this user.

The start of the ARG

Thank me dear for paradise is part of a number of different songs.

SeeingReason wasn’t recognized as an ARG right away, but the members of the Poppy Playtime Discord server quickly realized what was going on, and they asked a lot of good questions.

SeeingReason must know who or what the Prototype is because they don’t want to talk about him.

We also learned that Catnap sends letters, which made me think that he either sent us the letter or has been writing on the walls.

They were looking for the previous ARG account. The conversations were very interesting, but eventually SeeingReason shared some files involving what’s called the Lullaby Room.

We got some rejected toy papers, but the name was rejected. I also want to say here, just in case I call it, I think there is a second facility somewhere. I think that because one of the slips calls the factory a corpse, and they want to continue working with the wrongside out concept that Playtime Co. didn’t continue with.

The images shown were crazy. We don’t know who this woman is, but I have some guesses. The cool thing, though, was the following image:

We can see a red animal in this image, a toy that we haven’t seen before.

What we got

The ARG was amazing. Let’s take a look at all of the trailers that we got as a result.

The first video was interesting because we got to see what the process is for making the Bigger Bodies forget who they were. We also got to finally meet Dr. Preston Willard. Many had assumed that he was the player character, but after the revelations we got, that can’t be the case.

We also got to see Dr. Jessica Newman again. Later, we find out that she was part of the onsite orphanage, meaning that these experiments are all she has known. I know the community has been quick to be hard on her, but I look at her like a victim herself. Yes, what she participated in was horrible, but when you look at how the kids are indoctrinated, her coldness makes a lot of sense. And yes, the kids are indoctrinated. You can see evidence for it in the school.

In the next video, we find out that staff members were in on the Hour of Joy. Which makes sense and is something that many had assumed the whole time. We also see P.W. get grabbed by the fuzzy red toy, and many thought that he died. Frankly, I think that his fate was far worse.

In this video, we see Jessica living for a bit and trying to get away. She is found by the prototype, who is absolutely horrifying. I love the voice acting he has; it adds a lot to his character.

We also finally get to see CatBee, and the final image of this video is the best that the series has ever produced.

The last thing that Mob Entertainment gave us is the official game trailer, which introduces us to a few new characters and gives us a look at how amazing the lab area looks.

We don’t know if Chapter 5 is the last chapter. I am hoping it is. We also don’t know how long it will be, but we won’t have to wait long to find out.
