Klay Thompson #31 of the Dallas Mavericks celebrates the three point basket during the fourth quarter against the Los Angeles Clippers at Intuit Dome on November 29, 2025 in Inglewood, California.
After being treated to an unforgettable birthday celebration earlier this month, Klay Thompson made sure the favor was returned in equally grand fashion.
The Dallas Mavericks star used the NBA All-Star break to whisk girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion away on a tropical vacation — and surprised her with a baby-blue Bentley, a gift confirmed by TMZ.
Megan Thee Stallion Shows Off Klay Thompson’s Gift
Megan revealed the car at the end of a birthday photo carousel shared on Instagram, celebrating her 31st birthday.
“Aw man I was not ready for this birthday trip to be over 🥹 A time was definitely had🏝️🍹🥳 THANK YOU BABY⚓️,” she wrote.
According to Page Six, a Bentley dealership confirmed the vehicle is a Bentley Mulsanne, a luxury model that typically costs around $200,000 on the secondary market.
The Mulsanne was discontinued in 2020, with original pricing starting near $300,000, before Bentley replaced it with the Flying Spur, which now retails north of $270,000.
Megan’s “Klay Day” Birthday Party Set the Bar
The lavish gesture came weeks after Megan orchestrated an equally extravagant celebration for Thompson’s 36th birthday — a surprise event she dubbed “Klay Day.”
The festivities began with a quiet beach picnic, featuring a low table filled with fruit and pastries set directly on the sand. Megan documented the moment on social media, captioning it “the first half of KLAY DAY,” while teasing a bigger surprise to come.
That surprise culminated in a star-studded party attended by Thompson’s inner circle, including his parents, Mychal and Julie Thompson, and a live performance by his favorite hip-hop group, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony Leaves Mavericks Star Speechless
Thompson was visibly stunned as Bone Thugs-n-Harmony performed classics including “Thuggish Ruggish Bone,” “1st of tha Month,” and “Tha Crossroads.”
“Best birthday ever thanks to my baby. I’m still on cloud East 99,” Thompson wrote on Instagram afterward, referencing the group’s Cleveland roots.
The moment quickly went viral, cementing “Klay Day” as one of the most memorable celebrity NBA birthday celebrations of the year.
Couple Made Red-Carpet Debut in 2024
Thompson and Megan publicly confirmed their relationship last summer, walking the red carpet together at the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala at Gotham Hall in New York City.
At the event, Thompson debuted an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch — a gift from Megan — which immediately caught attention online.
“Megan gifted me this,” Thompson said in a viral video. “What a sweet lady.”
The watch was later identified as an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked in 18K white gold with a baguette-cut diamond bezel, which is now valued between $277,000 and $293,000 depending on the retailer.
Off-Court Bliss Amid On-Court Struggles
While Thompson’s personal life appears to be flourishing, his on-court season has been more challenging.
The four-time NBA champion is averaging career lows of 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists, while shooting 37.5 percent from three-point range for a Mavericks team focused on the future.
Still, Thompson’s legacy remains secure. He has earned nearly $299 million in NBA salary, according to Spotrac, and holds an estimated $140 million net worth, per Celebrity Net Worth. Megan’s net worth is estimated at $40 million.
For now, basketball has taken a backseat to the celebration of love between the high-profile couple.
