FireKeepers Casino Hotel has completed its Tower 1 renovation, a multi-phase refresh that modernized the resort’s original hotel tower while maintaining design continuity across the property. The project included updates to all guest rooms and suites, corridors, and elevator lobbies, culminating in the full redesign of the two Presidential Suites, the standout feature of the renovation.
Planning for the Tower 1 refresh began shortly after the opening of Tower 2, when the original tower began to show signs of wear after more than a decade of use. The goal was to update the space with a fresh, upscale look while keeping popular elements guests discovered in the newer tower. Construction began in July 2024 and concluded in December 2025, encompassing all 242 guest rooms and suites in Tower 1.
