Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day

Stuttgart to win

Celtic vs Stuttgart
Europa League, TNT Sports 1, 8pm

Celtic are on a ten-game unbeaten run since Martin O’Neill returned for a third spell in charge of the Hoops but they have needed late goals against Dundee, Kilmarnock and Livingston to get the better of those opponents and scraping results against that calibre of side does not bode well for this Europa League knockout clash.

They are facing a Stuttgart team who are fourth in the Bundesliga and have won five of their last seven away games, including road wins over Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Monchengladbach and Go Ahead Eagles.

Celtic remain without many of their key players through injury, including Cameron Carter-Vickers, Arne Engels and Alistair Johnston and they look set to be outclassed by a Stuttgart side who have won four of their last five European matches.

Odds: 11-10 general
