RTX 5080 graphics card
The RTX 5080 is one of the best graphics cards for 4K gaming, and a better choice for ray tracing than the RTX 5070 Ti, albeit more expensive. It features 16GB of GDDR7 memory, which is much faster than GDDR6, and improvements to both ray tracing and AI capabilities, thanks to new 4th-gen ray tracig cores and powerful 5th-gen tensor cores. DLSS 4 and MFG also feature, which can help push percieved framerates higher than what this card is capable of in terms of raw performance, too. For creatives, it’s going to be good for optimizing demanding workflows, like 4K video editing or working in 3D, and there are also features like NVIDIA broadcast and 9th-gen Nvidia encoders, which are ideal for professional content creators. Intel Core i9-14900KF processor
This is the best gaming CPU from Intel’s 14th-gen lineup, but it’s also a productvity and multitasking powerhouse. It features a massive 24 cores and 32 threads, 6GHz boost clock speed, and a large 36MB L3 cache, which adds up to something that can hand tasks like streaming and gaming with ease, but also push fps in 1440p and 4K very high. Storage and RAM
You’ve got a whopping 64GB of Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 in this build, which gives you more than enough headroom to handle the most demanding simulators and openworld games at the highest setting in 4K. It’s also going to dramatically optimize creative workflows, resulting in snappy and responsive feel, without too much in the way of lag or slowdown. On the storage front, you’ve got two 2TB SSDs for a total of 4TB. That’s massive, and the type of storage that you’d barely have to monitor, even when saving loads of large AAA games to it.
Things to consider
Yep, you guessed it, the price. For an RTX 5080 build with a 14th-gen, albeit top-tier, processor, this is just closing in on a lower-end RTX 5090 model. If you’re a big fan of Corsair, which is understandable as you’re getting seriously high-end build quality and components, it’s worth it, but for most, the idea of saving a over a $1000 and grabbing something with an Ryzen 9800X3D, 32GB of DDR5, and a 2TB SSD is pretty tempting…at least in our world.
