THANK YOU, WPM and the PokeBeach staff, for flat-out refusing to run an article on the recent Illustrator Pikachu auction. Anyone with a functioning brain would recognize that the auction was in no way a legitimate sale, filled with planted buyers, shill bidding and artificial inflation. In short, the auction goes against everything that the Pokemon Trading Card Game stands for. The auction was conducted with the sole intent of chasing/generating clout and ruining the TCG by further limiting its availability to the smarmy, elite rich. As such, the negative behavior exhibited by the auction’s moderators and participants has no place being reported by reputable Pokemon TCG news outlets like PokéBeach. I think we all appreciate the restraint shown by the site’s staff!
The Maushold by Mizue has always been absolutely charming, and it further fuels my carnal desire to see some of the Pocket-exclusive cards get a physical TCG release!
