full list of album and song releases

It’s New Music Friday! Dan Johnson walks you through all the biggest music releases that dropped on February 20, 2026.

Happy New Music Friday on this, the 20th of February of 2026! It’s a a headline week—what with next week’s lineup, I won’t quite say marquee—with Mumford & Sons, Baby Keem, and Hilary Duff all dropping full-length albums that feel built for the first-play rush. Morning subwoofers are going to put some serious early work in at the gym, as it were. Country and singer-songwriter worlds keep the emotional stakes high, while indie and legacy names lean into mood, craft, and atmosphere. Early reviews are already sketching a pretty clear shape for this week’s drop: Mumford & Sons are getting framed as a confident rebrand, more raw craft and earnest collaboration than some of their kickdrum bombast, while Hilary Duff is being received as glossy, grown-up pop that leans just enough into nostalgia.

I run through a comprehensive list of the top new music dropping on Spotify and other streaming services during this week’s major release window.
