Armenia expects to elevate its relations with Greece to the level of a strategic partnership, President Vahagn Khachaturyan told reporters in Athens after concluding his state visit.
“We have already raised our relations with several countries to the level of strategic partnership. I believe this is due to the increased trust in our country. The confidence that now exists in the Republic of Armenia allows us to elevate our relations with different countries to the level of strategic partnership, where the limitations on cooperation are significantly reduced or even nonexistent,” the President said.
Khachaturyan highlighted that it is notable that various countries are already cooperating with Armenia in the security and defense sectors.
“Greece has made significant achievements in high technology, space exploration, and digitalization. This opportunity cannot be ignored, and strategic partnership is precisely about this. There have been no obstacles to our political cooperation. We also discussed this during official meetings. This is a major achievement, and it should be recognized. The political processes taking place in Armenia, and the political course of today’s government, inspire confidence among our partners. This is why we are expanding our cooperation, will continue these processes, and this visit should also be understood within this context,” said the President of Armenia.
