Topshop Collaborates with London Fashion Week Designer Tolu Coker

Topshop kicked off London Fashion Week by unveiling a new capsule collection with British-Nigerian designer and multidisciplinary artist Tolu Coker.

Coker, a finalist for the 2025 LVMH Prize, founded her eponymous label in 2018.

Rooted in Coker’s London upbringing and influential places in her life, Topshop said the collection explores “social mobility and the modern woman in motion—what she carries, what she outgrows and what she claims as she moves through the city.” Designs are “an ode to the lived architecture of London” such as doorways, hallways and stairwells that symbolizes ambition, reinvention and arrival.

Coker’s expertise in tailoring, construction and transeasonal versatility is woven throughout the collection. Additionally, factors like quality, quantities and circularity guided design decisions.

Vintage references and British tailoring are set against the democratic spirit of denim—a synergy both Coker and Topshop share. Drawing on their combined knowledge of denim development, the collaboration delivers garments designed to evolve with time and wear, becoming more personal with each use. The denim pieces align with Topshop’s circular design criteria, including recycled content, and durability.

The collection also includes knitwear, blazers, pleated trousers and jumpsuits.

Coker’s collaboration with Topshop was somewhat of a homecoming. Topshop was her first job when she was 16.

“I believe the positive future of our industry lies in collaboration,” Coker said. “The reach and resources of brands like Topshop, coupled with the ideas and rigor of young designers, is how we shift our approach to design in a tangible way. It takes bravery to interrogate what ‘accessible’ can mean and to take real steps to evolve it. We don’t have all the answers, but this is a step in the right direction, and a foundation we can build upon.”

King Charles III got a first look at the collection on Thursday at Coker’s London Fashion Week show. Select knitwear pieces from the capsule appeared on the runway alongside the designer’s mainline collection.

“The reaction to the runway reveal shows just how significant Tolu’s creative voice is,” said Michelle Wilson, Topshop managing director. “This collaboration reflects everything Topshop stands for today, championing individuality, creativity and cultural relevance. Working with Tolu has been incredibly inspiring, and the collection represents a shared belief in fashion as a platform for storytelling. We’re proud to support her vision and bring something so considered, expressive and meaningful to our global community.”

The full Topshop x Tolu Coker will launch on Topshop’s website in March.
