On the heels of runway shows in New York, Paris, and Nigeria, Harbison arrives at Fashion Week El Paseo with Collection 009: Light After Botticelli–McKinney, a body of work informed by transition and endurance. “Collection 009 reflects my belief that rest, reflection, and even darkness are not endings, but merely transitions toward something more luminous,” he says. The palette moves deliberately from saturated colors into grounded neutrals, with “rich blues, mineral hues, shadowy florals, and flashes of white” designed to feel
“emotional but also stabilizing in her wardrobe.”
Material contrast drives the collection, pairing brocades and satin structure with fluid silks, tailoring alongside drape. Harbison describes the risk of the work simply: “The risk here was restraint. I’m known for bold statements, but this collection explores something more confident, I believe. It pushes my work toward emotional nuance.”
