I may spend my days talking and writing about fashion, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have beauty (products) on the brain at all times. I check the Just Dropped section of Sephora daily, follow multiple beauty influencers, and find it impossible to resist trying pretty much every new and viral beauty product that I come across.
As you may have noticed, the new beauty products have been rolling out at a rapid pace over the past couple of months, and trust me—I’ve tried a lot of them. Some are good, some are not so good, and some are great. I’m here to talk about the latter.
Among the buzzy products I’ve tried and instantly fell in love with are the latest Rhode launch, the new foundation (and brush!) everyone is losing it over, the latest blurred concealer launch, and the lip product everyone has been clamoring for Merit to release.

m.ph is, without a doubt, the new It-girl beauty brand, and I suspect every product Mary Phillips releases will go viral. Her latest creation is my new favorite foundation—hands down. It applies like silk and blends incredibly easily (don’t forget the fluffly brush to use with it). It comes in a wide range of shades, and even though it’s on the dewy side, it lasts for hours on end. Trust me—just get it.

Every Rhode launch is immediately viral, with Caffeine Reset being no exception. I’m happy to try anything that claims to sculpt, and I’m equally happy to report that it does! I like applying it in the morning before makeup, as it noticeably tightens everything up. It may just be temporary, but I’ll take what I can get.

The blurred makeup trend is still going strong (not that it’s something that should or will ever go away), and Merit launched the perfect product to embrace it with. Signature Lip Blush creates an effortlessly polished look in an instant, and you barely even need a mirror to apply the balm-like formula. Gamay and Archival are perfection, and are the ones I’ve been wearing on repeat, but I want them all.

The beauty of these is that they’re impossible to mess up, and now finding the perfect shade is easier than ever. I previously wore Biscuit, but Pecan is undoubtedly my new favorite.

As a Sarah Creal fan, I purchased the new color corrector the day it launched. And as someone who is chronically sleep deprived, sometimes concealer alone just doesn’t cut it. As opposed to other correctors I’ve tried that can be dry and patchy, this one is creamy and practically melts right in. Highly recommend.

This is the first of the BHA + AHA products I’ve tried that doesn’t sting and make my skin feel uncomfortably tight, which is no small feat. It’s gentle yet powerful, and my face looks bright and healthy the next morning. Plus, the packaging is quite fun.

They had me at brightening. Patrick Ta’s highly anticipated concealer is here, and it’s a good one. It conceals but looks completely natural, as if I just have perfect skin. I was impressed by the lack of creasing, especially considering how hydrating it is. The double-ended brush is also excellent and should be purchased alongside.

My main objective when it comes to lip stains is finding ones that make your lips look like your lips but better. Many are too intense for me, but Summer Fridays’ look natural and effortless. Rosette is the perfect shade to layer under any of its Lip Butters.

New trend alert: perfume milk. NOYZ ‘s new, revolutionary fragrance is here, and the concept may be confusing, but once you apply it, you’ll immediately get it. I was worried it might feel like a lotion, but it’s nothing of the sort. It sinks right in and doesn’t leave any stickiness. It’s not super concentrated, so you can apply it as you would a lotion and be left with a soft, lingering scent. Only Human, in particular, is divine.

Bold statement: The Omnilux LED mask has changed my life. I swear it’s reverse aging me. Even if I haven’t used it in awhile, after a ten-minute session, my skin looks completely revived. My fine lines have visibly faded and any discoloration is eradicated for days after using it. I can say without hesitation that it’s a very worthy investment.

I was a tiny bit hesitant to try Makeup by Mario’s new Jelly Jar balm at first, as I assumed it would be a bit too glowy and wouldn’t have any staying power. I’m happy to say that I was wrong. The glow level is sophisticated, and it stays put. I love it as a highlighter of sorts over another cream blush in a complementary color. I own three shades, but Mauve Latte (pictured here) is my most-used.

Cyklar continues to impress me with each new product launch (not sure how I lived without this milky essence for the body). Aside from looking chic, the new Urea Hand Cream is silky and hydrating but without the greasiness. The urea sets it apart from other perfumed hand creams on the market, as it actually rescues even super dry winter hands (AKA mine). And as you may have already heard, the scents are divine. Sacred Santal and Vanilla Verve are my go-tos.

I don’t do a lot to my hair—just a rough blow dry until my arm gets tired and maybe something to smooth the flyaways afterwards. But I’ve recently added Fairy Duster to my routine after seeing the rave reviews and I get it. I hate products that make my hair feel stiff or dirty, but this makes it feel clean, with a cool-girl tousled effect. Also, it smells divine.

I own nearly every Ultra Violette sunscreen formulation, so trying the newest, Sequin Supreme, was a no-brainer. It’s perfect for wearing under makeup, as it glides on smoothly and doesn’t pill. It has the faintest shimmer, and although it adds a bit of glow, it’s not greasy like many “glowy” sunscreens I’ve tried. Plus, the high SPF is always a bonus.

Spring is on the horizon, and that means the new bronzers are rolling out. One of the most high-profile among them this year has been Rare Beauty’s Warm Wishes powder bronzer. Although it’s a powder, I found that it’s quite buttery and blendable (especially with the genius angled brush it was released alongside). I’m hoping for more cool-toned colors to be added in the future, and given Rare Beauty’s track record for releasing new shades of their products periodically, I have a hunch my wish will be granted.

A lot of lip oils may look and feel nice, but they’re quite thin and therefore disappear soon after applied. This is not that. Dior’s new reformulated Lip Glow Oils have staying power. They’re ultra-hydrating and shiny, and they come in three finishes—sheer, high shine, and shimmer. I purchased Latte and Mocha, both of which are quite pigmented, which I personally love.

This setting spray actually turned me into a setting spray girl. It’s a step I’ve always skipped in the past, but after hearing the buzz about Saie’s Cityset, I couldn’t not try it. One of the many things I love about it is that you don’t feel like you added an extra layer to your face. It’s a super lightweight mist that adds a subtle, non-greasy glow and keeps your makeup looking fresh for hours on end. I look forward to having it on hand when the heat and humidity hit this summer.
