There was nothing to complain about when setting up the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro during the test. To establish a connection to the smartphone, the Zepp app for Android or iOS is required. After registering for free or logging into an existing account, the wearable can be connected in just a few steps.
To do this, start “Add new device” and then scan the QR code on the smartwatch. After a few seconds and a few taps, the connection was successfully established and the test smartwatch was connected to the Zepp app. If desired, initial settings can be made during the set-up process, including contacts, synchronizing the calendar or activating the weather location. The Wi-Fi connection (2.4 GHz) can also be set up if required. Finally, there is a short tutorial with basic instructions.
Various settings relating to health monitoring, notifications and device settings can be made via the Zepp app. In addition to a large selection of free and paid watch faces, it also has its own app store. This can be used to install additional (sometimes paid) apps on the smartwatch to expand it with additional functions.
