Austin Peay State University battled against the University of North Florida on Thursday, February 19, where the Governors escaped UNF Arena with a hectic 77-76 win.
Governors freshman Zyree Collins came up with the ball with a few seconds left on the clock in the second half and tried calling a timeout. The problem was that the Governors had no timeouts left, so they received a technical foul, which allowed Kamrin Oriol to shoot two free throws. Oriol missed the first attempt but got the second to rattle in. With 1.9 seconds left, Ja’Corey Robinson threw a long pass to the opposite side of the court that fell into Anton Brookshire’s hands. Brookshire managed to get a shot off that went in, winning the game for the Governors in spectacular fashion.
