10 Nordstrom New Spring Fashion Finds, From $17

As I trudge through the dirt-covered snow banks in New York City, it’s hard to imagine that soon I’ll be swapping my long wool coat and boots for an airy sundress and sandals. And with two warm-weather vacations and a destination wedding just around the corner, it’s time I get serious about a spring wardrobe refresh. Nordstrom is always my first stop when I need a few fashion pick-me-ups, and right now, its new arrivals section has everything I could possibly want for this upcoming season.

I sorted through thousands of new drops to find spring fashion finds, all under $100. I found ultra-stylish, travel-friendly options from some of my favorite brands, including Madewell, Birkenstock, and FP Movement. Currently in my shopping cart are comfy travel clothes, like a pair of wide-leg track pants to replace my leggings, a chic striped button-down, supportive walking sandals, and more. Keep reading for all my top picks from Nordstrom’s new arrivals, starting at just $17.

Madewell The Signature Y-Neck Shirt in Poplin

Button-down shirts are an essential part of my spring and summer wardrobe. This poplin shirt from Madewell fits my style to a T, with an easy-to-wear, breezy design and a Parisian-esque stripe pattern. The open Y-neckline adds a laidback, undone feel to the look that isn’t overly stuffy like some button-downs can be. I can see myself styling it with a pair of linen pants for the summer or loose-fitting trousers for a slightly elevated, yet comfortable ensemble.

Birkenstock Arizona Big Buckle EVA Waterproof Slide Sandal

As I said, I can’t imagine packing away my winter boots any time soon, but I can’t wait until I can slip into a pair of sandals, like these Birkenstock Arizona slides. The brand’s signature comfortable shoe design features an EVA-cushioned sole that absorbs shock and molds to the foot with arch support. Plus, the material is waterproof, making them perfect for the beach or if I get caught in the rain. They come in seven colors, but my personal favorites are the elegant eggshell option and the bright fondant pink.

Wit & Wisdom Skyrise Patch Pocket Shorts

I refuse to wear shorts unless they are extremely comfortable, and these Wit & Wisdom bottoms look like they fit the bill. The high-rise style has a polished, trouser-like look, but the deep pockets and relaxed, loose fit make them wearable and functional. One shopper raved about the “super comfy waistband” and said that it “won’t turn or roll.” Meanwhile, another person wrote that they are “so comfy” and a “great length.”

BP. High Waist Fleece Track Pants

This year, I’ve decided to swap my leggings for more elevated alternatives when traveling, so I added these trendy track pants to my shopping cart immediately. The high-waisted pants look more polished than traditional sweatpants, but the soft fleece-lined interior makes them just as comfortable (and they’ll be perfect for transitional weather). They have flattering details like leg-elongating side stripes and crisp front pleats, and the side-zip slits at the hems add more movement and airflow to the pants.

Topshop Everyday Cotton T-Shirt

A simple T-shirt is the backbone of my travel outfits year-round. It’s perfect for layering underneath a button-down top or a lightweight sweater or wearing on its own with a pair of comfy lounge pants. This soft cotton-blend crewneck tee from Topshop is exactly what I’m looking for. The wardrobe staple is available in five basic colors, and for $17, I’m tempted to buy more than one.

Pact Organic Cotton Airplane Pintuck Wide Leg Pant

These stylish Pact pants are the ultimate airplane bottoms—it even says so in the name. The sleek-looking, wide-leg bottoms are easy to throw on and go, and they are made from a buttery-soft knit that will keep me as comfortable as possible during all my travels. The pants’ front pleat detailing gives the pants a sophisticated flair, and one person noted that they are “flattering” and “drape nicely.”

Free People FP Movement Hustle Layer Knit Top

FP Movement is one of my go-to brands for comfy travelwear with a playful touch. This knit long-sleeve top comes in statement-making colors like bright blue (which I’m currently eyeing) and green. The relaxed-fit pullover design makes it something I can picture myself reaching for again and again, whether I’m traveling, going for a low-impact hike, or just lounging around the house.

Wanderweight Ultralight Packable Tote Bag

My Lands’ End canvas tote bag is one of my most-used travel bags, so I was thrilled to spot this packable quilted option hidden within the new arrivals section. The ultra-lightweight tote folds into a small zippered pocket that takes up almost no space in a carry-on bag, so I can pull it out once I reach my destination if I don’t want to use it as a personal item. Plus, it’s water-resistant, and its spacious interior has zippered pockets to keep items secure and a key fob for easy access. Perhaps my favorite part is the variety of bold colors, including icy mint green, bright cherry red, and more.

LifeStride Fearless Charm Low Top Sneaker

I can’t resist a new pair of travel sneakers, so of course, these adorable LifeStride sneakers caught my eye. The retro-inspired sneakers feature subtle, sweet detailing like scalloped trim and a small heart-shaped charm. Shoppers say they are “very comfortable” and “stylish,” and one person noted that the inside is “so soft.” The neutral colors will go with everything in my closet while adding a fun spin to my spring outfits.

Nordstrom Transitional Knit Travel Wrap

I always make sure I have a warm sweatshirt on hand to keep me warm in-flight, but this knit travel wrap is a more stylish alternative. Made from a soft cotton-blend, the lightweight wrap can serve as a regular scarf, shawl, or makeshift blanket during a long-haul flight. In fact, one shopper wrote, “I brought it on a long flight in case blankets were not available and was very happy to have it along when the plane got cold.” It’s available in seven colors, including a classic black and a spring-ready blue cornflower.
