Three years ago, Netflix announced that it would adapt 2k Games’ hit video game BioShock into a film, and then… well, not much. There’s been mostly silence from the streamer regarding the project since then. Now, producer Roy Lee has finally provided an update confirming that the project isn’t dead, as some had believed.
Speaking to Collider, Lee says, “We would have gotten it made a few years back, but then other movies got in the way, with one being The Long Walk and the other being The Hunger Games prequel, which comes out this December,” referring to the workload of BioShock director Francis Lawrence.
