The science behind the storm: Why is this nor’easter so impactful?


EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A major coastal storm is bearing down on Southern New England, bringing heavy snowfall, strong winds and blizzard-like conditions.

But what caused the storm to become significant so quickly, and why is it more impactful than other storms we’ve gotten?
