2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards Winners Announced

The winners of the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards were announced during a ceremony taking place at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in central London.

The BAFTA Fellowship was presented by BAFTA’s President HRH The Prince of Wales, to Dame Donna Langley, in honor of her transformative leadership, sustained commitment to inclusion and pipeline building, and the strength of her relationships with creative partners who bring film and television to life. The BAFTA Fellowship is the highest accolade bestowed by BAFTA in recognition of an individual’s outstanding and exceptional contribution to film, games or television across their career.

Clare Binns, the Creative Director of Picturehouse Cinemas, was awarded the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award, for championing diverse and fiercely independent work on big screens around the UK. The award was presented by Emily Watson and Stellan Skarsgård.

The Actor Awards will not take place for another week but BAFTA skewed British once again with I Swear winning in two categories, including Leading Actor. Sony Pictures Classics acquired the U.S. rights in October and will not be releasing the film until some point this year. Other than that, BAFTA voters were in agreement with Critics Choice voters when it came to the big categories on Best Picture, Director, Actress, Original and Adapted Screenplay. I’ll be curious to see how SAG-AFTRA voters impact the Oscar race during the middle of voting.

The EE BAFTA Film Awards voting takes place over three rounds: Longlisting, Nominations and Winners, by BAFTA’s global voting membership, comprising over 8,100 creatives and film industry practitioners.
