Students from across Berks County will get a chance to show off their knowledge and skills at the 74th annual Reading-Berks Science and Engineering Fair.
The annual event kicks off with students setting up their projects on March 2 at Albright College’s Bollman Gymnasium at Albright College.
Those projects will be judged, and students will face interview sessions on March 3.
There will be two public viewing sessions for the fair. The first will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on March 4. The second will be March 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
An awards ceremony will be held March 5 at 6 p.m.
Nearly 300 students are expected to compete in this year’s event.
The Reading-Berks Science and Engineering Fair is the second-oldest science fair in the U.S., dating back to its founding in 1952 by the Reading Chemists’ Club. It is open to students in grades six through 12.
