Add that to 16GB of DDR5 and a large 2TB SSD, and you’ve got something that’s brilliant bang-for-your-buck at under $1,100.

RTX 5060 graphics card
This PC packs an RTX 5060 8GB, which is one of the best graphics cards for FHD gaming at high fps, with decent QHD performance when utilizing MFG and tweaking a few settings. Unlike the more cost-effective RTX 5050, which is usually found in prebuilds under $1,000, the 5060 has GDDR7 memory, which is significantly faster than GDDR6. This, along with its 4th-gen ray tracing cores and 5th-gen tensor cores, gives it the leg-up over some of its closest competitors, like the RX 9060 XT, in an overall sense. For esports, this card is especially good, and thanks to features like Nvidia Broadcast and 9th-gen Nvidia Encoders, it’s also not a bad graphics card for content creators, too.
Ryzen 7 8700F processor
This is quite a common gaming CPU to find in higher-end, budget-friendly builds like this one. It features 8 cores and 16 threads, which makes it good for multitasking, streaming, and some more complex creative workloads, and boasts a 5GHz boost clock speed, with a 16MB L3 cache; more than enough to accommodate high fps 1080p and 1440p gaming, which the RTX 5060 targets. It’s also AM5 and supports DDR5, which is great as it also means that you’ve got a clear upgrade path without the pressing need to switch motherboards, which would be the case if you had an Intel 14th-gen processor, for example.
Storage and RAM
Interestingly, this has a 2TB SSD, which is actually quite rare in an RTX 5060 prebuild, at least from my experience. This is large enough that you won’t have to think too much about storage management, and can easily accommodate over ten large AAA games, with space left over for other files. On the RAM front, there’s 16GB of DDR5, which is going to be brilliant for gaming at high settings, but of course, more is better if you’re playing open-world titles, if you want everything to feel and look super smooth.
Things to consider
An RTX 5060 Ti prebuils is ever-looming at around $1,200, and they do pack better FHD and QHD performance, thanks to their high CUDA core count. For the money, you may find these give you a bit more bang-for-your-buck, if you can stretch to that amount. That said, for the price and the fact that you’re getting DDR5 and a large SSD, this build makes a lot of sense. I’d say explore your MSI RTX 5060 Ti options, as many of them go on sale, and take a look at some RX 9060 XT 8GB and 16GB builds, too.
