Vault: Treasury, House FinServ to meet on investor housing ban


The Trump administration is ratcheting up the pressure on House Financial Services Committee Republicans to support a prohibition on large financial firms from owning single-family homes.

House Republicans will travel to the Treasury Department on Wednesday morning to meet with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and discuss the large investor prohibition. Members will also discuss the Housing for the 21st Century Act, which the House passed with nearly 400 votes earlier this month.
