Hard Rock Las Vegas announces general manager | Casinos & Gaming

Although its opening is still more than a year away, the Strip’s newest megaresort is solidifying its leadership team.

Justin Wyborn has been named senior vice president and general manager of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International announced. Wyborn, who most recently served as president of Hard Rock’s casino in Cincinnati and boasts nearly 25 years of industry experience, has been with the South Florida-based gaming company since 2013.

According to a news release, Wyborn will report to Joe Lupo, president of Hard Rock Las Vegas.

Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming are transforming the former Mirage casino into Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas while simultaneously constructing a 660-foot guitar-shaped hotel tower on the site. The hotels are expected to be completed by the second half of 2027.

The finished complex will feature nearly 3,600 hotel rooms, approximately 175,000 square feet of gaming space, two spas, multiple pools, live entertainment venues, and dozens of restaurants, lounges and retail outlets.

In addition to Wyborn’s appointment, Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming announced the appointment of Travis Lunn as president of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa. Lunn recently left Las Vegas, having been reassigned as part of MGM Resorts International’s executive-level moves last fall.

Hard Rock is also tapping another former Las Vegas casino executive to head up its other Florida property. Randy Morton, who spent nearly a decade as president and chief operating officer of the Bellagio casino, was named president of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood and its guitar-shaped hotel tower. Morton was named general manager of the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas in April.

“These appointments reflect both the exceptional talent within our organization and the caliber of new leaders we’re bringing to our team,” said Jim Allen, chairman of Hard Rock International and chief executive officer of Seminole Gaming. “Each individual brings exceptional gaming and hospitality experience that will benefit our guests, team members and the local communities we serve. I’m confident they will uphold our standards of excellence and contribute to our continued growth.”
