Kristen Stewart Makes the Case for a Cocktail Bra at West Hollywood Event

Estimated read time1 min read

Kristen Stewart is no stranger to great suits—witness her slew of custom Chanel blazers worn on miles of red carpets. But the esteemed actor, director, and eternal vampire ingenue may have one-upped her commitment to three-piece style with her latest pick: a wham, bam! of an ensemble from the California-based brand Mimchik.

Styled by Tara Swennen, the butter yellow ensemble features a pair of front-pleated satin pants, a roomy matching jacket that looks like a moto bomber and a CEO blazer had a baby, and the surprise: a triangle bralet with tailored darts and a halter top neck. Stewart wore the ensemble to Architectural Digest’s AD Celebrates Design Making a Difference event in West Hollywood, California, yesterday.

The outfit was designed by Emma Marciano, daughter of Guess co-founder Maurice Marciano, and Pratt Institute graduate Mia Kazovsky, who previously worked at Fleur du Mal and Alexander Wang. (They created the piece entirely in Los Angeles, a win for local skilled labor.)

Could Stewart’s captivating outfit be a rebuttal to the current slew of chic-but-polite little black dresses seen on the fall 2026 catwalks—and on women around the world who yearn to capture a piece of Caroline Bessette-Kennedy’s minimalist power? Could be.

A cocktail dress is great, after all. But a cocktail bra and blazer? That’s a new look that feels both brave and free—a lot like Stewart herself.
