The Denver Broncos have lost a member of their health and performance staff.
The Tennessee Titans are hiring Broncos assistant director of sports science Freddie Walker, according to a report from KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. Walker will get a promotion to director of applied sports science in Tennessee.
Denver’s director of sports science is Joseph Danos. Walker started his career as a graduate assistant for strength and conditioning at Michigan State in 2010. He later had stops at Illinois, Pittsburgh and Iowa State before joining the Broncos in 2023.
Denver’s website still lists Danos and director of performance nutrition Ema Thake of members of the team’s staff, but the club will now need a new assistant director of sports science.
Beau Lowery is the V.P. of player health and performance for the Broncos, and the club has four strength and conditioning coaches, led by Shaun Snee, who has been with the club since 2023.
