Maria Grazia Chiuri is back at Fendi

After eight years spent at the helm of Dior in Paris, Maria Grazia Chiuri finally returned to her native city in 2025. In Rome, the designer takes on the creative direction of Fendi, the house where she first started in 1989. A dual homecoming, then. In a humble atmosphere, filled with nostalgia, she presented her first Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection during Fashion Week on February 25th, 2026.

By choosing the motto “Meno io, più noi” – literally “Less me, more us” – Maria Grazia Chiuri addresses her approach rooted in artistic collaborations. She also refers to the creative harmony between the five Fendi sisters, Paola, Anna, Franca, Carla and Aldan, and to the four generations of women who succeeded one another. From 1992 until Maria Grazia Chiuri’s arrival, Silvia Venturini Fendi, the house’s heir, contributed to the menswear, womenswear and accessory collections.

The fashion industry is going through an unexpected identity and financial crisis at the moment and today’s society increasingly celebrates individuality. In that context, the creative director puts an emphasis on the importance of the collective. A message made tangible through the participation of sculptor Mirella Bentivoglio and archer SAGG Napoli.
